Traditional factories require many pieces of equipment and a large crew in order to fabricate the tower shells out of many individual cans.
Keystone’s automated process can simultaneously perform all of the operations needed to produce tower shells at three times the rate of a traditional can-welding line.
Boost tower factory throughput 50%
Keystone’s first generation tapered spiral mill is rated for wall thickness up to 25mm, making it well suited for the top and mid sections of today’s towers.
Keystone can operate a mill along side existing tower factories, supplying fully formed and welded shells enabling much faster production. Existing rolling equipment can be tasked with making the heavy walled base sections, and growing lines can be used for installing flanges and performing other secondary operations on the pre-fabricated shells.
