Job type: full-time, non-exempt
A highly driven individual that will perform beveling operations on plate steel used in tower sections. This person will perform beveling and grinding operations and ensure quality prior to submitting for inspection by quality. This person will be required to work on projects alone or in a team environment.
Beveller Operator Responsibilities:
Work from the directions of the supervisor to move steel plate, set up and operate the beveling and grinding equipment, Follow and complete daily build schedule.
Bevel and grind, prior to presenting it to the Quality Inspectors. This person will also repair all defects as directed by the Quality Inspectors
Perform most of the work individually. Essential tools will be provided, however, accountability and maintenance will be the employee’s responsibility
Work timely and expeditiously to deliver an on-time product without manufacturing errors
Perform other duties as directed by leaders and management
Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all safety policies and procedures. Follow all OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.
Embrace culture of Lean Manufacturing and the implementation of change
Ability to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems to departmental supervision
Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Perform all work-related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all Keystone Tower Systems Company and Safety policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
A thorough knowledge of metal working procedures and practices is essential to ensure the quality of the product. This will include the ability to calculate formula using basic mathematics, standard U.S. and Metric Measurements
Able to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, manufacturing drawings or similar information
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
